Virtual Roundtable Discussion on Local Cannabis Control Commissions for Towns and Municipalities

Friday, September 9, 2022 from 12 noon until 1pm

Has your town opted in to cannabis retail and/or integrated licenses? Are you aware that municipalities are also now responsible for issuing tobacco licenses and many cannabis retailers will be applying for those to be able to sell tobacco paraphernalia, cannabis oils and liquids?

Questions about what a local Cannabis Control Commission (CCC) is and what it can do, what towns and municipalities could do to form a CCC, and why it is important to consider it? Then this roundtable discussion may be for you and your fellow decision makers.

Who should consider participating?
Town administrators, select board members, planning committee members, regional planning staff, and any organizations working with towns and municipalities to form a Cannabis Control Commission are encouraged to attend. If you already have a CCC, please participate as well.

This informal discussion will be moderated and informed by regional planning staff, local community organizations, and towns with Cannabis Control Commissions already in place. There will be time for questions. Questions may also be submitted in advance to beth@preventionworksvermont.org. Register here
