The 4th Annual Opioid Forum: A community call to action and a gathering of hope was held on June 25th at the Green Mountain Technology & Career Center in Hyde Park, Vermont with around 220 attendees.

The event featured Greg and Dawn Tatro, Johnson residents, who shared their daughter Jenna’s journey into substance dependence, Ed Baker, LICSW, LADC took a compassionate look at addiction and explored how we can all  help,  Gov. Phil Scott signed into law the establishment of a substance misuse prevention advisory council, along with the new position of a chief prevention officer.  The evening ended with community partners sharing local resources and a panel where Dr. Katie Marvin challenged each attendee to be the one that makes a difference in someone’s life.
