On May 2nd, Healthy Lamoille Valley and many community partners joined forces to host the town’s first-ever Cigarette “Butt” Litter Clean-Up. More than 30 volunteers of all ages and abilities collected over 3,000 cigarette butts. Participants registered at the Healthy Lamoille Valley table on the lawn of the Morristown Centennial Library, picked up bags, counters and other supplies, and headed out into the community, finding the highest density of cigarette butts in high traffic areas like parking lots, parks and bus stops.
