Healthy Lamoille Valley was excited to take part in this year’s Green Mountain Tech Fair on May 29th. We invited students to reflect on the question, “What helps you grow?” Using plants as a parallel, students were encouraged to think about the supports, strengths, relationships, and healthy choices that can help them grow and thrive.
Students shared many thoughtful responses, including family, friends, pets, music, nature, sports, food, rest, and trusted adults. After adding their reflections to our display board, participants received a small succulent as a reminder that, just like plants, we all need care, connection, and the right conditions to grow.
We were encouraged by the strong participation and loved seeing our display fill up with student voices throughout the event. We also got the opportunity to lead a similar activity at the Smugglers Notch Employee Wellness Fair on June 5th!
