What is Zyn? Trends in Substance Use

Healthy Lamoille Valley is excited to partner with Stowe Schools to host a community/parent night to discuss updates in trends in substance use, with special focus on nicotine products, such as Zyn. The intention is to inform, but not overwhelm; to look at how we can best talk with our kids. All welcome! Light refreshments provided.
Speaker: Tom Fontana Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) Licensed Alcohol & Drug Counselor (LADC)Alcohol, Cannabis, and Other Drugs Initiatives Manager, University of Vermont. Tom Fontana (he/him) coordinates drug and alcohol education at the University of Vermont. He oversees the BASICS program (which is a brief intervention model), and he meets with student groups, including Greek Life and Athletics. Tom is author of the ‘T-Break Guide’ a free resource to help people take a tolerance break from cannabis. He is Principal Investigator of a research study seeking to gauge the effectiveness of cannabis harm reduction resources.
