On Tuesday, February 10th, Vermont youth gathered in Montpelier for the annual OVX (Our Voices Xposed) Youth Statehouse Rally to advocate for stronger protections against vaping and nicotine use. This event gives middle and high school youth prevention leaders from across the state a chance to educate lawmakers, decision-makers, and fellow Vermonters about the impact of tobacco and nicotine on young people, schools, and communities.
This year, Lamoille County was proudly represented by students from Peoples Academy Middle Level, Lamoille Union Middle School, Lamoille Union High School, and Green Mountain Technology & Career Center. From public speaking to legislative testimony, youth showed the power of youth leadership in action.
