On May 14th, Healthy Lamoille Valley (HLV) was excited to host our annual prevention celebration! This year’s theme was “Prevention is Better Together,” bringing together many community members, including 20 area students, to make connections and share stories of involvement in youth substance use prevention in our communities. The event included a poster exhibit by student groups, collaborative writing activities, music, good food, the debut of our new mascot Woodsy the Bear, and awards for this year’s prevention honorees. May is Youth Appreciation Month in Vermont and this event served to showcase and recognize the skills and contributions to the community made by our amazing youth partners.
