Join us for our May Coalition Meeting on May 4th from 6:00 – 7:00pm!

The weather is turning warmer, more people are getting vaccinated, and we’re now getting to the end of the school year. As we look forward to summer celebrations and get-togethers, it’s important to focus on making our events youth and recovery-friendly. At our May coalition meeting we’ll talk about tips for hosting fun parties without a focus on substances and explore ways to ensure that youth cannot access alcohol and other adult-use substances at home and community gatherings.

Meetings are on Zoom, accommodations are available! Please contact Jessica at jessica@healthylamoillevalley.org if you have any questions or requests. Please register in advance for this meeting here. We look forward to seeing you!

Our New Coalition Meeting Format

Healthy Lamoille Valley is hosting regular coalition meetings the first Tuesday of each month on Zoom. These meetings are open to all youth and community members interested in preventing and reducing youth substance misuse.  We are excited to be providing monthly opportunities for coalition members and anyone who’d like to be involved to connect with our work in a tangible way.  When we come together we are stronger and can create real change that positively impacts area youth and reduces youth substance misuse.  The new format allows for creating community connections, a short issue overview presentation, and then breakout discussion on that topic.  While the meeting officially runs from 6:00-7:00pm, many have stayed around in our virtual room to chat more and share ideas.  Some great work has come out of these after-meeting times.
